Presidents Note January 2009 >

The Taberna Homeowners Association held its Annual Meeting on December 10th.  Thanks to all that attended and mailed their votes to allow us to have the quorum required to elect the new members of the Board of Directors.  We also thank Creekside Elementary School and Principal Karen Wood for being gracious hosts for our meeting.

 

George McNulty, Linda Pickens, Rick Layton and Willis Vincent were elected as new board members.  Modified guidelines regarding Taberna sign policy and Tree Removal were adopted at the meeting.  Immediately following this meeting the new board for 2009 held its annual meeting and elected new officers as shown in this newsletter. 

 

I wish to convey a special thank you to departing board members Bob Costanzo, Alva Windham, Jim Krise, and Martha Daniels for their service on the Board and to the standing Committees for their commitment to maintaining Taberna as one of the best communities in New Bern.   Thanks to their efforts we ended 2008 in great shape.

 

  The monthly Board meetings will be held at the HOA office at 5:30 PM on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  The next meeting will be January 21th.  The office is located at 3950 US Highway East (Route 70 and Thurman Road). If you need directions to the office, call one of the Board Members or myself.
