President’s Message – June 2008
By Bob Costanzo, President
Taberna Homeowners Association
The Board still needs 2-4 people to coordinate the annual Taberna Community Picnic in October. These volunteers would be working with members of the Homeowners Association and the Taberna Tribune. For this event to continue, we need your assistance. If you are interested in helping with the picnic, please contact one of the Board members as soon as possible. Without community support, the activity may not be held this fall.
My thanks to the Buildings and Grounds Committee for their efforts to improve the landscaping in Taberna. Pictures of all of the landscaping projects that have been completed, in conjunction with the Beautification project, will be included in the July issue of the Taberna Tribune.
In Taberna we have benefited by having the owners of the Taberna Country Club voluntarily maintain some of the common areas adjacent to their property on Taberna Circle. They maintain those areas when they do the landscaping on their property, and we are grateful for their assistance.
Regarding changes to the traffic signals on Route 70, you might contact Steve Tyson to let him know if you are pleased with the changes or if you feel other modifications need to be made. You can send your comments or suggestions to him via e-mail at Tyson@Century21.com.
The Board of Directors holds its monthly meetings at 5:30 PM, on the third Tuesday of each month at the HOA office. The office is located at 3950 US Highway East (Route 70 and Thurman Road). For directions to the office call myself or one of the Board members. Any Taberna homeowner is welcome to attend these meetings.
