President's Message

The HOA Committees and the Board have completed the review of the financial needs for 2009. The budgeting process has been finalized and the 2009 Budget will be included with the notice of the Annual Meeting, scheduled for December 10th at Creekside Elementary School. The formal notice of the meeting will be sent to all HOA members in early November.

 

This is the time of year that the Board of Directors looks to the community for residents who are willing to serve as Directors on the HOA. If you are interested in being considered for one of the vacancies, contact Steve Harman at 633-6323 or by e-mail at “steve_harman@suddenlink.net. The Board meets monthly at a time agreed to by the Board members. We currently meet at 5:30 PM. The Board will review all inquiries at its October 8th meeting.

During the year we have had some criminal activity occurring at the canoe dock. After much discussion between members of various committees and the police, a decision was reached to place a gate at the entrance to this area. Residents who want to use the canoes will receive a key to open the gate in addition to the key to access the canoes. For those who walk in this area, a path has been created around the gate for easy access.

 

The Community Picnic will be held on the 18th of October, and flyers announcing the picnic have previously been delivered to all households in Taberna by the Taberna Tribune and by members of the Crime Committee. Once your money has been received an e-mail will be sent to you confirming the receipt of the money, if your e-mail address is in the Community Directory.
