President’s Message – April 2008

Taberna Homeowners Association

 

The first three months of 2008 have finally passed and spring is here.  It is a pleasure to drive throughout Taberna and see the landscaping come to life. The effort that our homeowners make to beautify their property speaks loudly about how we feel about this community.

 

The Board and the committees are committed to keeping Taberna as a location that entices people to move here. Buildings and Grounds Committee continues to focus on enhancing the common areas. Additionally, they monitor all of our landscapers to ensure that these areas are properly maintained.

 

The most serious resident complaint that I have had this year relates to the use of Todd Denson Park. Some residents use this area to exercise their dogs. Since some children are afraid of dogs, owners need to have their animals under control at all times. I want to thank those residents who make the effort to pickup their pet’s waste since this is a multi-use area. Owners also need to clean up after their pets when walking them in Taberna.

 

Recently there have been some reports of vandalism in Taberna. The HOA Crime Committee continues to monitor areas in the community and advise the police when they see suspicious activity. Please do the same when you see any suspicious activity

 

My thanks to all of the homeowners who paid their HOA dues on time. I would encourage the few who haven’t yet paid to do as soon as possible to minimize their late fees.

 

This year the Board of Directors will hold its monthly meetings at 5:30 PM, on the third Tuesday of each month at the HOA office. Our office is located at 3950 US Highway East (Route 70 and Thurman Road). For directions to the office, please call myself or one of the Board members. Any Taberna homeowner is welcome to attend.
