President’s Message – November 2007

Mark your calendars for the Taberna Homeowners Association Annual Meeting, which will be held Monday, December 17, at 7 p.m. at Craven County Community College.

 

During the Annual Meeting we will answer questions that have been submitted prior to the meeting and we will take questions from the floor for 30 minutes. To submit a question, please e-mail it to me via the Taberna Website tabernahoa.org or mail it to me at 128 Neuchatel Rd. New Bern, NC 28562.

 

This year we have had a number of complaints, from homeowners, regarding homes that were not being properly maintained (grass and shrubs were not being cut, mold was not being removed from the siding, etc.). Due to the potential impact on the value of surrounding homes the Board, in accordance with the Protective Covenants, approved a Rule that addresses this issue. The Rule is effective January 1, 2008. This and two additional rules are included in the information packet for the Annual Meeting.

 

If you are do not plan to attend the Annual Meeting we request that you complete the Ballot / Proxy form and return it to the HOA at the address shown on the form.

 

The Board has approved the HOA budget for 2008. The formal announcement of the HOA Annual Meeting will be mailed to all Taberna Homeowner Association members shortly and should be received by November 13th.
