TABERNA RESIDENTS CRIME WATCH ALERT
DURING THE PAST FEW DAYS/WEEKS THE TABERNA COMMUNITY HAS BEEN ASSULTED BY PREDITORS WHO ARE STEALING PERSONAL ITEMS FROM UN-SECURED GARAGES AND AUTOMBILES. THE NEW BERN POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS ASK THAT THE TABERNA CRIME WATCH COMMITTEE ALERT ALL RESIDENTS AND A PLEA TO PROTECT YOUR RESIDENCIES FROM CRIMINALS WHO ARE ROAMING OUR NEIGHBORHOODS DURING THE NIGHT TIME HOURS.
LAST FRIDAY EVENING, THERE WAS SIX REPORTED BREAK-INS ALL FROM UN-LOCKED CARS SITTING EITHER IN THE DRIVE WAY OR ON TABERNA STREET. THESE BREAKING AND ENTERING CRIMES COUPLED WITH THE MULTIPLE REPORTS OF SIMILAR INNCIDENTS DURING THE PAST THREE WEEKS SUGGESTS WE HAVE PREDITORS TARGETING THE “EASY PREY” WE OFFER THEM.
THE CRIME WATCH COMMITTEE CONTINUES TO REQUEST
YOUR COOPERATION IN REMOVING TABERNA FROM LOCAL THIEF'S SHOPPING LIST OF "EASY TARGETS" AND LOWER THE RISK OF OUR COMMUNITY BEING A REGULAR STOP. IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY KIND OF CRIMINAL VIOLATION AT ON YOUR PROPERTY PLEASE REPORT THE CRIME TO THE NEW BERN POLICE DEPARTMENT AT 672-4100. IT IS CRITICALY IMPORTANT THAT WE REPORT ANY AND ALL INCIDENTS SO THE INFOMATION CAN BE TURNED OVER THE THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATORS IN LOOKING FOR SIMILARTY LINKS.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THE NEW BERN POLICE DEPARTMENT IN CONJUCTION WITH THE CRIME WATCH COMMITTEE WILL BE TAKING WHAT WE HOPE TO BE CORRECTIVE ACTION, BUT NEED YOUR HELP!
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS MESSAGE OR ADITIONAL PREVENTIVE MEASURES YOU CAN SUGGEST CONTACT THE AREA CRIME WATCH CAPTAIN IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
