In March the City authorized the replacement of more than 4,000 feet of sewer lines on Taberna Circle from Airport Road to the railroad tracks. By now, most of the work to replace the sewer lines should be completed. After the fill has been compressed, the city will begin repaving the area. That process includes repaving those streets from curb to curb.

Taberna’s community was designed by Weyerhaeuser to offer its residents many amenities. They included a walking path through the woodlands, which can be entered off Emmen Road and ends by the canoe launch on Brices Creek. The canoes are available for your use, without charge, by contacting the appropriate person listed in the Tribune. Our own park, Todd Dennison Park, is located off Taberna Circle and Lake Geneva, next to Geneva Road. If you haven’t already taken advantage of these amenities, which your dues maintain, I urge you to do so during the coming year. All three are available for your use from sunrise to sunset.

In addition, the plan for Taberna included Taberna’s Country Club. The club provides its members with an opportunity to enjoy a game of tennis or golf, along with a dip into its pool.

If you feel that a property is in violation of one of the covenants, you should contact one of the Board members. We understand that a person might wish to remain anonymous, but it is important for us to confirm that the caller is a member of the Homeowners Association. We will respect the need for confidentiality of the caller’s name at all times.
